Here is an old photo which came with information on the reverse. Is
one of your relatives?
This lady looks quite formidable. No jewellery and
we can't see much of her clothes.
DATE: Given as
- Photographer: Hartley Bros, The
Studio, 2 South Road, Waterloo, Nr. Liverpool.
- Card: Cabinet card. Quite
a restrained back for the 1890s compared to most
of the examples on Roger Vaughan's
CDV photographs from the designs on the back.
Roger also explains why photographers were using
Art Equipment as a motif at this time.
- Fashion: Some sort of summer
dress with a low neck and large sleeves.
